San Diego – Spireon and Premier Trailer Leasing presented a case study showing return on investment for trailer and asset tracking and intelligence on the second day of this year’s ATA Management Conference and Exhibition. The partnership, according to Premier, has led to considerable growth for the company through optimized fleet performance enabled by Spireon’s FleetLocate Asset and Trailer Intelligence solution.
Spireon, Premier Trailer Leasing Present ROI Business Case
Spireon and Premier Trailer Leasing presented a case study showing return on investment for trailer and asset tracking and intelligence on the second day of this year’s ATA Management Conference and Exhibition.
“Spireon help us provide our customers three things they can’t get anywhere else: rich data that is far superior to what they could find elsewhere, continuous real-time updates and the ability to geofence,” said Larry Hall, Premier’s executive vice president.
Over the last two years, Premier’s customer base has grown 30 percent, with adoption of trailer tracking increasing nine-fold over the same timeframe. Premier was recently able to scale its business to the West Coast, knowing that its asset management solution could grow as the company expanded, according to Hall.
Talon Logistics, a Louisville, KY-based third-party logistics company, uses equipment from Premier integrated with the FleetLocate solution from Spireon. Using the combined solution allows Talon Logistics to provide customers with instant estimated time of arrival, quicker loading and unloading times, and geofencing for increased load security.
“Premier with FleetLocate has given us a distinct advantage in the market,” said Brandon Briscoe, vice president of sales and operations for The Talon Logistics Network. “We are hauling more freight than ever before with fewer trailers.”
According to Hall, driver retention is also at an all-time high because the Spireon solution allows Premier to center around the driver, reducing wait times and making the driver’s life easier.
