SmartDrive Systems announced that Michael Stapleton and Kelley Overton have joined its management team as vice president of regional sales and director of regional sales, respectively.
 
While Michael Stapleton has nearly 35 years in the transportation industry, his exposure to the industry actually began much earlier. The son of a traffic manager, Stapleton has been reading trade journals since he was 6 years old.  He received his bachelor’s degree in Transportation from the University of Tennessee, spent 18 years in the LTL ranks, and then evolved into a sales and strategic planner during his 15 years at Qualcomm Omnitracs.
 
Kelley Overton brings 28 years experience in the technology, trucking and transportation industries to SmartDrive. A graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, where he received his bachelor’s degree, Overton’s had experience at companies such as Comdata and Qualcomm Omnitracs.
