Schneider National plans to close down operating centers in Seville, Ohio, and Green Bay, Wis., on Nov. 17, as the two facilities are used least by the company
. The two facilities provide fueling, maintenance and operations.

As a result of the closings, 105 jobs will be eliminated, including 10 office and 45 services positions in Seville and 50 maintenance and driver services positions in Green Bay. Eighty operations office employees at Green Bay will be relocated to another facility in Green Bay by the end of the year. No driving jobs will be affected.

"We regularly assess our operating center locations to ensure that we have a cost effective and business efficient network to meet the needs of our customers and drivers," said Mark Rourke, president, van/truckload for Schneider National. "Freight flows, driver domiciles, customer locations and the maintenance and fueling requirements of our fleet are all taken into consideration."

Schneider says it will be shelling out severance packages as well as career transition services and an extended Employee Assistance Program. The company will also host job fairs in both cities to introduce affected employees to employers in the area. Employees will be able to apply for other openings within Schneider for which they are qualified.
