Saia opened a new terminal in Redding, Calif. This week, according to Rick O’Dell, president.
"We acquired a terminal in Redding to strengthen coverage in northern California," O’Dell said. "The addition of this terminal will bring the total number of Saia terminals in California to 14, second only to Texas, which has 18 terminals."
Earlier this year, Saia opened two locations in Colorado -- Pueblo and Grand Junction -- which gave the company full coverage in that state.
"With this new location in northern California, we can extend operations and facilitate earlier deliveries," said O'Dell. "Our new location in Redding confirms Saia's commitment to both the California market and to provide best in class service."
