International Roadcheck 2002, the 14th annual 72-hour vehicle/driver inspection blitz, will be held June 4-6 throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Safety inspectors will be on the job night and day at inspection sites along major highways. In addition, roving patrols will inspect commercial vehicles traveling other highways.
Roadcheck is sponsored by the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA), the leading commercial vehicle safety organization in North America. During Roadcheck 2001, more than 45,000 vehicles were inspected at over 1,000 locations across North America. Of those vehicles, 24.1 percent were placed out-of-service because of safety violations. And 5.7 percent of the commercial drivers inspected were placed out-of-service for violations of federal safety regulations.
The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance includes all 50 states, the District of Columbia and U.S. Territories, all Canadian Provinces and Territories and Mexico’s federal government.
