The Rubber Manufacturers Association expects demand for both original equipment and replacement tires for commercial and light trucks to grow in 2015.
Original equipment commercial truck tire shipments were projected at 5.4 million units in 2014. RMA predicts that demand will increase by 3.7% in 2015. Replacement tire shipments for commercial trucks will grow by 0.2% or 700,000 units in 2015, to 17.7 million units.
Light truck original equipment tire shipments are expected to grow by 2.1% to 4.8 million units in 2015, while replacement tire shipments will grow by 0.3% to 29.7 million units in 2015.
