In response to requests from a number of its fleet customers, Pegasus TransTech is providing drivers with a free and easy method to provide feedback to the Department of Transportation concerning the proposed hours of service (HOS) regulation changes.

Pegasus TransTech has joined the American Trucking Associations to encourage industry and driver opposition to the proposed HOS regulation changes by allowing drivers to use TRANSFLO Express truck stop scanning to send their letters of protest. Letters are available at every Pilot, Flying J, and Love's truck stops and can be sent from those locations using TRANSFLO Express with no charge to the fleets or drivers.

"We are immensely grateful to Pegasus TransTech and their travel center partners for their support of our hours of service campaign," said Rob Abbott, vice president of safety policy for the ATA. "Given the nature of the proposed changes, it is critical that DOT hear from as many drivers as possible. This process will make it easier and more likely for drivers to offer their thoughts and objections."

Drivers simply hand the completed letter delivery to a trained cashier for scanning at almost 800 truck stop locations in the U.S. and Canada. The document will be sent directly to the ATA who will forward them to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration which has proposed the new hours of service rules.
