Chip Overbey, vice president of National Accounts & Marketing for Old Dominion Freight Line Inc., Thomasville, N.C., has announced the establishment of the OD Solutions Center.
The OD Solutions Center provides customers access to a highly trained OD specialist to assist with all supply chain needs and assures instant action in the areas of domestic shipping, global transportation, business consulting, truckload and special services and even white glove service.
The OD Solutions Center is designed to allow Old Dominion Freight Line clients access a real time solution to their supply chain needs. The OD Solutions Center will provide all the information needed on rate estimates, transit times, shipping documents, expedited shipments, worldwide LCL, FCL and container load services, documentation services, assembly and distribution services, truck load services, flatbed service, exclusive use and logistics consulting.
Other services provided include general inquiries concerning corporate or service centers and Old Dominion’s secured web site registration.
Commenting on the OD Solutions Center, Overbey said, "We want our customers to have the ability to utilize any of our four component offerings -- OD Domestic, OD Expedited, OD Global or OD Technology -- at any time."
