Dispatch Science has introduced DataBridge, a cloud-native integration platform as a service (iPaaS) designed to help carriers streamline connections with shippers by reducing the cost and complexity of data integration.

The platform aims to replace traditional, time-intensive integration projects with faster, more manageable processes that carriers can manage without large IT departments or reliance on third-party vendors.

“With e-commerce growth and supply chain digitization accelerating, shippers now expect seamless data exchange across multiple platforms and formats,” said Alex Proteau, Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder at Dispatch Science.

“We’re seeing an increase in situations where carriers are forced to walk away from profitable business because the cost and complexity of integration makes it impossible to work with new shippers. We built DataBridge because we believe carriers should compete on service quality, not on who can afford the most expensive IT projects.”

Platform Capabilities

Hosted in Microsoft Azure’s cloud environment, DataBridge provides carriers with enterprise-level security, transparency, and reliability. The system allows carriers to connect to shipper platforms and automate the exchange of orders, updates, and delivery documents without dedicated IT staff.

Key Features Include:

  • Wide integration support: From structured EDI transactions to spreadsheet uploads.

  • Prebuilt templates and workflows: Reduce onboarding time and simplify even complex integrations.

  • Real-time automation: Internal System Actions (ISAs) trigger responses to events like barcode scans, driver delays, or misrouted packages.

  • Scalability: Carriers can add new customers and trading partners as their business expands.

Industry Impact

Proteau added, “The logistics industry is moving toward a future where agility determines market leadership – and this level of real-time transparency will quickly become the new industry standard. Once shippers experience it, they won’t go back.”
