Online sellers facing the daunting task of shipping oversized and palletized shipments now have a new option due to a new partnership between online freight marketplace uShip and the web-based e-commerce shipping service ShipStation.
As a ShipStation freight partner, uShip now gives sellers access to direct, instantly-bookable rates from nearly 30 nationally-known less-than-truckload carriers, for orders weighing 150 pounds or more, which typically exceed parcel carrier size and weight requirements. Among the LTL providers are: Con-way Freight, Old Dominion Freight Line, YRC Freight, and R&L Carriers.
Bringing top LTL carriers into one online location means merchants can eliminate the inefficient process of phoning, faxing or emailing with multiple freight sites or brokers to compare rates, service types and time frames, ultimately saving sellers time, money and hassle, according to uShip.
“Partnering with uShip means we can now provide our online retailers with a freight solution that fulfills the promise of being able to ship orders, from wherever they sell and whatever they ship,” said Robert Gilbreath, vice president, marketing at ShipStation. “
uShip is eBay’s Larger-Than-Parcel global shipping partner while the new service partnership is available to online sellers on Amazon, Shopify, Etsy and others.
