The Android-based MiX Rovi is a rugged in-cab terminal made for commercial fleet working environments and will gain on-board navigation and geofence capabilities from Sygic’s fleet navigation software.
The integration will also allow MiX to add speed monitoring based on posted limits or custom geofence speed limits to improve behavior of drivers.
Sygic offers global maps that are stored offline to allow for navigation functionality even outside of cell coverage. The maps are displayed on the MiX Rovi’s seven-inch color touch screen.
“Our partnership with a global player like MiX Telematics confirms our growing position within the fleet management market,” said Michal Stencl, CEO of Sygic. “We share MiX Telematics’s goal to deliver technology that boosts fleet efficiency and safety. Working together simply means a superior solution for the end customer.”
Bratislava, Slovakia-based Sygic develops hybrid navigation for smart devices and connected vehicles.
MiX Telematics is a global fleet and mobile asset management provider for enterprise fleets, small fleets and consumers. For more information, click here.
