SmartDrive Systems announced that Michael Baker has joined its management team as vice president of worldwide sales. Baker is a telematics sales veteran.
Baker brings 20 years of experience in the technology, trucking and construction industries to SmartDrive. Baker will focus on developing customer acquisition and retention strategies, building and motivating high performance teams, and creating a global go-to-market sales organization.
Prior to SmartDrive, Baker led teams at Navman Wireless, Qualcomm Omnitracs and HighwayMaster. Baker has also held sales leadership roles with Saunders Cash Control, Trendar and Fleet Control Services American Express.
