North Carolina business publication Triangle Business Journal reported Monday that High Point-based MGM Transport Corp. on won $250,000
in One North Carolina Fund incentives as part of a planned $6 million expansion in Eden, N.C.
MGM Transport plans to convert a former Pillowtex plant into a state-of-the-art trucking facility. The expansion is designed to create 300 jobs.
MGM Transport serves two-thirds of the furniture manufacturers nationwide with daily deliveries to more than 20 states. The Eden plant will combine the company's warehousing and distribution capabilities and add light assembly and home-delivery components.
