Mack Trucks is offering natural gas versions of its Pinnacle model with the Eaton UltraShift Plus transmission and Bendix Wingman Advanced collision mitigation technology.
Pinnacles equipped with a Cummins Westport ISX12 G natural gas engine can run on either compressed natural gas or liquified natural gas.
Mack says customers with these natural gas capable trucks wanted the option of an automated manual transmission as well as the Wingman Advanced collision mitigation system for safety.
Wingman Advanced provides adaptive cruise control with braking that actively intervenes to help drivers maintain a safe following distance using the throttle, engine retarder and brakes automatically.
