Jacobs Vehicle Systems, a manufacturer of heavy-duty diesel engine retarding systems and valve actuation mechanisms, announced that Sergio Sgarbi was appointed President effective July 22 after completing his three month immersion process.

Rob Tykal, the current JVS President, has transitioned into a broader role within Danaher.
Sgarbi joins JVS from Navistar Inc. where he had a 22-year career with
increasing global responsibilities in operations, marketing and general
management with a focus on engines and components. Most recently, Sgarbi held the position of vice president Global Engine and Marketing.
Additionally Sgarbi served on the board of Magnum Power, a joint venture with Caterpillar Reman and Navistar. Prior to becoming VP of Global Engine and Marketing, Sergio was vice president and GM, North American Business Operations were he lead the strategic and operational goals for
long-term growth.
