J.B. Hunt Transport Services plans to collaborate with project44 on a platform to give customers access to real-time shipment information.

The company will integrate the project44 advanced visibility platform into J.B. Hunt 360 to offer access to tracking information regardless of carrier, to eliminate the need for multiple carrier data integrations. The collaboration is seen as an important move for J.B. Hunt as it looks to expand its capabilities and service offerings of the company’s technology platform.

J.B. Hunt 360 offers both shippers and carriers a marketplace for freight matching, visibility into their operations within the supply chain, and features that automate day-to-day efforts. For easier onboarding for J.B Hunt’s customer base, project44 has prebuilt connections to thousands of global multimodal carriers and ELD/telematics devices.

The addition of project44’s technology to J.B. Hunt 360 is intended to improve the platform’s ability to generate cost savings, increase efficiency and improve service levels.

“The challenges our customers are facing today require greater visibility into their transportation network,” said Shelley Simpson, executive vice president and chief commercial officer of J.B. Hunt. “By integrating project44 technology within J.B. Hunt 360, customers can view and manage multi-carrier freight from a single platform, helping them streamline operations and meet their supply chain goals.”
