The Missouri Department of Transportation closed the ramp from westbound Interstate 255 to southbound Interstate 55 last night in order to resurface the ramp.
Crews closed the ramp from westbound I-255 to southbound I-55. The ramp is expected to reopen Oct. 14. Traffic will be detoured to Route 21 (Tesson Ferry) to southbound I-270.
Large trucks and tractor-trailers are encouraged to use the Poplar Street Bridge to access southbound I-55.
The $20.9 million project to repair the pavement and overlay the roadway with new concrete will be complete by June 2004.
