Hill Bros. Transportation has been recognized with the highest score offered by the EPA's SmartWay program
for its efforts in reducing greenhouse gas emissions in freight transport.

The Omaha, Neb.-based carrier earned a score of 1.25, which is given to those who demonstrate outstanding environmental performance. Companies receive scores of 1.25, 1.00, 0.75 or 0.00.

"Partners with scores of 1.25 are awarded the honor of displaying the SmartWay Transport Partner logo, EPA's symbol for superior fuel efficiency and environmental performance," according to the EPA's website.

In 2004, EPA launched SmartWay to identify products and services that reduce transportation-related emissions.

"Hill Bros. is committed to doing our part to improve air quality and reduce emissions," said Albert Hill, Hill Bros. co-owner. "We are honored that our efforts to make our fleet more fuel efficient were recognized by the EPA's SmartWay program."
