With upcoming Phase 2 greenhouse gas regulations taking effect on trailers in 2018, Hendrickson said that many trailer OEMs will begin installing tire-pressure systems as standard. The ROI tool was designed to help fleets that want to take an active role in understanding the payback and value of a tire-pressure control system like Tiremaax Pro.
The Tiremaax Pro can increase fuel economy as well as reduce maintenance and roadside calls, according to Hendrickson.
“It is now more important than ever for fleets to truly understand their total cost of ownership. Tires are not only one of the most important maintenance components on a trailer, but also one of the most expensive,” said Matt Wilson, director of Hendrickson Controls Business Unit. “Our new ROI calculator demonstrates that Tiremaax Pro will quickly pay for itself and provides a convenient report summarizing the savings.”
