The deadline to nominate an innovative trucking fleet executive for the 2021 HDT Truck Fleet Innovators award has been extended until Feb. 12, 2021.

Each hear, Heavy Duty Trucking's editors seek out the trucking industry's most innovative leaders for the HDT Truck Fleet Innovators award. We will honor a small group of these standout fleet leaders as HDT's 2021 Truck Fleet Innovators. The HDT Truck Fleet Innovators will be profiled in the April 2021 issue, as well as asked for their thoughts on issues throughout the year.

We will honor these leaders and feature them on a panel discussion during the Heavy Duty Trucking Exchange, an intimate networking and education event, currently scheduled for May 3-5, 2021, in Scottsdale, Arizona. (Date subject to change due to the COVID-19 pandemic.)

Nominations will be accepted from anyone in the industry – this might be fleets, suppliers, dealers, associations, etc. Self-nominations are welcome. HDT editors also consider fleet leaders they learn about through other means, such as press releases, interviews, or events.

Nominees must be in a position of leadership at a trucking fleet that includes heavy-duty (Class 7-8) trucks, although it may also include lighter-duty fleet vehicles as well. A leadership position might be top leadership such as owner, president, or CEO, but it also could be someone in charge of a specific area, such as a VP of maintenance or a director of safety. Private, for-hire, and government fleets are all considered.
