California-based G.I. Trucking has added its 85th service center, located in Chico, Calif.
The less-than-truckload company says the new service center will give customers shipping freight to and from Northern California more options, including enhanced overnight and second-day delivery operations.
G.I.'s newest service center will support the area from Marysville, Calif., to Redding, Calif., along the Interstate 5 and 99 corridors.
The Chico operation is the 85th service center in the company's 17-state Western and Midwestern service territory and the 13th in California.
Company officials say customer transportation needs have been growing steadily in California. G.I. trucking is a wholly owned subsidiary of Arkansas Best Corp. of Fort Smith, Ark.
