Dual-Facing Dashcams Gain Traction in 2025 Safety Survey
Geotab Launches AI-Powered GO Focus Pro Dash Cam With 360-Degree Visibility
Geotab launches GO Focus Pro, an AI-powered 360-degree dash cam designed to reduce collisions, prevent fraud, and protect fleets from nuclear verdict risk.

The new Geotab GO Focus Pro speeds up incident investigations, helps defend against unwarranted claims, and helps drivers to self-correct before a serious event occurs.
At Geotab Connect in Las Vegas, Geotab introduced the GO Focus Pro, an AI-powered dash cam system designed to give fleets full 360-degree visibility and real-time predictive safety alerts.
The launch expands Geotab’s GO Focus family of video telematics solutions at a time when fleets are facing rising insurance costs, increased litigation exposure, and pressure to improve driver safety performance.
Video Telematics Is Now a Business Imperative
According to Geotab research conducted in December 2025 among more than 500 commercial drivers:
- 99% said they recognize the benefits of dash cam and video telematics technology
- 63% value dash cams for protection against fraudulent insurance claims
- 58% see them as critical for exoneration in collisions
That shift comes amid continued growth in "nuclear verdicts," which totaled $14 billion in 2023.
"AI delivers its greatest impact when it helps prevent risk in the moment, not after the fact,” said Claude Hochreutiner, principal video program manager at Geotab.
“GO Focus Pro brings real-time intelligence into the cab, giving drivers greater awareness and confidence while enabling fleets to take a more proactive approach to safety.”
What Is Geotab GO Focus Pro?
The GO Focus Pro is a 360-degree AI dash cam system integrated directly into the MyGeotab platform. It combines surround-camera visibility with predictive AI risk detection and automated driver coaching tools.
The system is designed to help fleets:
- Prevent collisions
- Reduce low-speed backing and docking incidents
- Accelerate claims investigation
- Defend against unwarranted litigation
- Improve driver coaching efficiency
360-Degree Surround Visibility
The system supports up to five weatherproof auxiliary cameras, providing visibility of:
- The driver
- The road ahead
- Blind spots
- Cargo areas
- Trailers
- Surrounding traffic
This expanded visibility targets a persistent problem for fleets: low-speed backing and docking incidents caused by blind spots and limited line of sight.
Predictive AI Risk Detection
Unlike systems that simply record video, GO Focus Pro uses AI models to identify risk patterns in real time, including:
- Traffic-light violations
- Forward-collision risk
- Vulnerable road users in blind spots
Alerts are delivered in-cab to enable immediate driver correction.
A latency-free video feed supports precise backing and docking maneuvers — areas where fleets commonly see preventable damage costs.
Driver Score and Coaching Tools
The system includes:
- Automated driver scoring to flag repeat risky behaviors
- Detection of mobile phone use and fatigue indicators
- Real-time audio alerts
- Manager-assigned coaching sessions within MyGeotab
Geotab also introduced Smart Sequence, a filtered event review tool designed to reduce the volume of video managers must analyze.
AI Driver Assignments and Review Pipeline
The platform can automatically identify drivers through RFID/NFC cards or facial recognition, reducing administrative burden and improving data accuracy.
Geotab emphasized that GO Focus Pro operates without systematic human video review, relying instead on an AI-driven analysis pipeline.
Where GO Focus Pro Fits in the Geotab AI Dash Cam Family
The GO Focus Pro rounds out Geotab’s AI dash cam portfolio, which includes:
- GO Focus
- GO Focus Plus
- Auxiliary camera integrations
The tiered lineup allows fleets to deploy different levels of video telematics across vehicle types and risk profiles while managing all data inside MyGeotab.
The GO Focus Pro will be available in North America in the second quarter of this year.
