Freightliner Team Run Smart Pros Named Citizen Driver Award Winners
Freightliner announced that Team Run Smart Pros Henry Albert and Linda and Bob Caffee have been recognized with 2014 Citizen Driver awards from TravelCenters of America.
Freightliner announced that Henry Albert and Linda and Bob Caffee, Team Run Smart Pros, were awarded the 2014 Citizen Driver awards from TravelCenters of America (TA).
The Citizen Driver award recognizes professional drivers who demonstrate good citizenship, safety, community involvement and leadership. In honor of this recognition, the drivers selected their favorite TA or Petro Stopping Center to be renamed after them.
Based in Statesville, N.C., Henry Albert, owner of Albert Transport selected the TA in Laredo, Texas as his favorite location. Renamed the Henry Albert Laredo Travel Center.
Albert noted winning the Citizen Driver award is a humbling experience. “All of the Citizen Driver award recipients are great industry ambassadors, and to be worthy of being part of this group is an honor,” said Albert.
Bob and Linda Caffee are independent contractors leased to FedEx Custom Critical. Based in Silex, Mo., the couple selected the Petro North Las Vegas to be renamed the Linda and Bob Caffee North Las Vegas Stopping Center.
“We are two small town people who were pulled to the trucking industry by our desire to see the United States. Before long, we were excelling in our new profession and busines” said Linda Caffee. “Having the North Las Vegas Petro Stopping Center add our name to their sign is one of the most amazing things that has ever happened in our professional careers.”
Albert and the Caffees serve as Team Run Smart Pros, where they provide real-life experiences from the road in an effort to advise other drivers on how to succeed in the business of trucking.
