Forward Air Completes Purchase of Central States
Forward Air announced Thursday that it has compelted its planned acquisition of all of the stock of Central States Trucking and Central States Logistics from Central States Inc. following news that it was making the purchase last month for $95.6 million.

Forward Air announced Thursday that it has compelted its planned acquisition of all of the stock of Central States Trucking and Central States Logistics from Central States Inc., following news that it was making the purchase last month for $95.6 million.
CST has a seven terminal network with approximately 500 office employees and drivers. Headquartered in Bensenville, Ill., it had 2013 unaudited revenues of approximately $66 million earnings. It provides container and intermodal drayage services primarily within the Midwest, linehaul service within the airport-to-airport space, as well as dedicated contract and container freight station warehouse services.
Tennessee-based Forward Air Corporation operates three business segments, Forward Air, Forward Air Solutions and Total Quality.
