J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. one of the nation's largest publicly-held transportation companies, has been named to Forbes Magazine's List of 100 Best Mid-Cap Stocks.

Among the truckload transport providers in the listing, J.B. Hunt ranked first in the five-year earnings per share growth category and first in sales for the latest 12 months. The company was number 60 on the list overall.
"As a company, we strive to deliver the same level of commitment to our shareholders as we do our customers. It is the hard work and dedication of our employees, the best in the transportation industry, that enables J.B. Hunt to provide unparalleled value to investors and customers alike," said Kirk Thompson, president and CEO for J.B. Hunt. "We are honored to have their effort acknowledged by Forbes."
Forbes analyzed 1,000 U.S. companies with a market capitalization between $1 billion and $4 billion. Each was reviewed for positive growth in five-year, as well as trailing 12 month return on equity, sales and earnings. The companies were then further reviewed for three- to five-year earnings growth predictions. Forbes then used an outside research company to scrutinize balance sheet and boardroom practices before handing out scores in the areas of financial condition, accounting and governance, and earnings quality.
