Fontaine Modification Launches Real-Time Truck Modification Tracking Portal

Fontaine Modification has introduced a new customer portal designed to give fleets real-time visibility into the truck modification process, addressing one of the most common questions fleet managers face: “Where’s my truck?”

Fontaine Modification Access365 is a new digital platform that allows customers to track vehicles throughout the entire post-production modification lifecycle. The portal tracks a truck from factory arrival through final its release.

According to Fontaine, the portal provides live status updates, photos, testing videos, and documentation for every vehicle in the modification pipeline.

“Our customers manage complex operations, and uncertainty creates unnecessary anxiety,” said Jamil Young, president of Fontaine Modification. “We developed Fontaine Modification Access365 to eliminate that uncertainty by providing real-time status updates, quality photos, functional videos, and digital records in one secure portal.”

Young said the system began as an internal operational tool before evolving into a customer-facing platform as fleets requested more visibility into their vehicles during the modification process.

“What began as a powerful internal visibility tool has evolved into a fully branded customer experience -- one that many of our customers already rely on every day,” he said. “As Fontaine Modification continues to grow, we are investing in systems that scale with our customers.”

Developed with Fleet Input

Fontaine developed the Access365 portal in-house and refined it over the past three years with input from several major fleet customers. The company is now rolling the platform out to all customers, regardless of fleet size or project complexity.

The portal supports vehicles undergoing modification at any of Fontaine Modification’s nine U.S. facilities. Services range from relatively simple installations, such as fleet graphics, to more complex engineering projects including steering conversions, cab and chassis modifications, and drivetrain changes.

Through the Access365 platform, customers can see the status of each truck in the system -- whether it is on order, in process, on the lot, or released.

The portal also captures timestamps from transporter delivery and provides arrival photos documenting vehicle condition and VIN verification. Status updates are pulled directly from Fontaine’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, allowing fleets to monitor progress without waiting for manual updates.

Because the system updates continuously, fleet managers and operations teams can check the latest information at any time.

Documentation and Quality Assurance

During the modification process, customers can access quality-control photos taken on the shop floor and watch testing videos confirming that vehicle systems are operating within acceptable ranges.

Once modifications are completed, the portal provides final release photos documenting the finished vehicle.

Fontaine says this transparency helps fleets confirm that work is being performed to specification while also providing a digital record of the entire build process.

In addition to real-time tracking, Access365 functions as a centralized data repository for each vehicle.

Customers receive secure login credentials and can only view their own fleet data. Available documentation includes:

  • VIN and serial number records
  • DOT inspection paperwork
  • Modification documentation
  • Inspection reports and fleet-level data

Data can also be exported to Excel for reporting or internal analysis.

Fontaine said the system is designed to be highly customizable and can integrate with existing fleet management systems when needed.

Building Operational Confidence

The company describes Access365 as more than a tracking tool. By combining real-time visibility, documentation, and communication in one system, Fontaine aims to give fleet customers greater confidence in the modification process.

“With live status updates, shop-floor photos, and organized compliance documentation, customers have complete transparency from intake through delivery,” the company said.

The goal, Fontaine said, is simple: ensuring fleets always know where their trucks are -- and exactly what’s happening to them.
