East Manufacturing introduced a newly designed flatbed trailer floor along with a new tie-down system.
East makes aluminum flatbed, drop deck, dump, round bottom and refuse trailers as well as steel dump trailers and aluminum truck bodies.
The newly designed floor increases the strength of the flatbed, resulting in a 10% increase in strength under a distributed load and 30% increase under a concentrated load, according to the company.
In addition, it is more streamlined to reduce installation time, eliminating the need to install coil package flooring inserts and reducing the weight of a 48-foot flatbed trailer by 24 pounds.

The new integrated extruded aluminum outside rail tie-down system for cargo securement eliminates the need for welds and reduces the assembly time.
The tie-down system is standard on East BST, BST II and MMX flatbed trailers as well as the East BST and BST II drop deck trailers. In addition, it is available as an option on the inside and center tie-down tracks.
