Distribution Technologies Inc., Newbury, Ohio, has expanded its North American terminal network with the addition of facilities in Phoenix and Greensboro, N.C.
The new centers bring the total number of facilities in the provider’s network to 28.
“These new terminals not only enable us to provide more responsive service to our growing dedicated contract carriage customer base but also offer more common carriage options in these two key areas of the country,” said John Rakoczy, chief operations officer for DistTech.
The new DistTech facility in Phoenix is strategically located so that providers can cut the length of haul to delivery points in the West. Likewise, the new terminal in Greensboro improves DistTech’s coverage along the Atlantic coast.
DistTech provides dedicated contract carriage, common carriage and logistics services and returnable container management, primarily for liquid bulk commodities. Founded in 1932 as Manfredi Motor Transit, DistTech combines a modern, secure fleet with the latest technology to offer customers such value-added services as real-time satellite tracking and communication, electronic load tendering and computerized dispatch.
