The Dependable Companies has purchased Matheson Fast Freight, an Elk Grove, Calif.-based less-than-truckload carrier
, reports the Journal of Commerce.
According to the publication, Matheson Fast Freight will merge with Dependable Highway Express, the regional trucking division of Dependable Logistics Services.
Dependable Logistics Services is a consortium of family-owned private corporations divided up into divisions that each specialize in specific aspects of the transportation and logistics industry, including: LTL trucking, FTL trucking, harbor operations, rail, intermodal, third party logistics, warehousing and distribution throughout California, and both domestic and international ocean freight, air freight, and logistics as well as operations throughout Hawaii and Guam. DHE runs 172 tractors and 425 trailers, the JOC reports.
