DEF Pump Price Continues Downward Trend
The average U.S. diesel exhaust fluid pump price fell by 1 cent to $2.74 per gallon between February and March 2012. This continued a marginal downward trend, which has seen the price drop 2 cents since December 2011
The average U.S. diesel exhaust fluid pump price fell by 1 cent to $2.74 per gallon between February and March 2012. This continued a marginal downward trend, which has seen the price drop 2 cents since December 2011.
Rising raw material costs have made some impact on tote prices, with the average across the six U.S. references covered by DEF Tracker increasing by two cent to $2.02 a gallon between February and March 2012. That said, bulk deliveries of DEF to fleets which have permanent storage units, fell in some areas.
Twenty-one truck stop locations added the facility to offer bulk DEF at the pump last month. This means that at the end of March, there were 446 locations offering this facility and 6,499 offering packaged DEF. Retail locations can be found on discoverdef.com.
