However, a number of major DEF distributors plan to increase DEF prices for tote and bulk supply in the first two weeks of May 2012. Kost USA announcedit will raise prices by 21 cents per gallon on all package sizes starting May 1. This is the result of an upward trend in urea prices, the main raw material for DEF. Tight import supply due to low agriculture inventories and global production issues with various new plant startups are also factors.

The website reports that 26 truckstops added bulk DEF facilities at the pump between March and April, and, at the time of press, discoverDEF.com listed 477 North American DEF pump locations, including five in Canada, and 6,519 retail locations offering packaged DEF.
