Professional truck driver Willie Riggins has received recognition from Dart Transit for driving seven years without an accident.
Riggins is an independent trucker from Houston, Texas, and operates under lease with Dart Transit, Dallas operating center in Lancaster, Texas.
As a professional truck driver, Riggins participates in Dart’s award-winning professional driver development program, which includes a yearly driver improvement course, safety advisers, driver performance analysis and professional recognition.
Genesis Underwriting Management Co., an insurance underwriter, recognized Dart for having an extraordinarily low accident loss ratio in 1993, 1994, and 1995. According to the Truckload Carriers Assn. (TCA), Dart had the lowest accident ratio in 1996 among truckload carriers producing more than 50 million miles a year. Dart operates in all 48 lower states as a truckload carrier specializing in lightweight freight.
