Steven Ruesken, a driver for Con-way Freight, has reached the 2-million-mile mark for driving without an accident

Ruesken, a resident of Effingham, Ill., drove the safe miles from January 1991 through July 11, 2009. He'll be recognized for the accomplishment Aug. 26 at Con-way's Salem, Ill., service center.
"Steven Ruesken's impressive accomplishment highlights the personal and professional commitment to safety of those of our employees who go behind the wheel of a truck every day, and who make it their business to demonstrate superior safety performance on the highways, in our service centers and at our customers' facilities," said John Labrie, president of Con-way Freight.
Ruesken as been driving with Con-way for 22 years. Over the years, he has been honored for reaching the one-million-mile mark and has also earned second place at the Illinois State Truck Driving Championships in 2001 and 2002.
Con-way boasts more than 1,500 drivers that have achieved 1 million safe driving miles, and more than 90 with 2 million accident-free miles.
