American Natural Gas, LLC announced the company is permitting and constructing a public, heavy-duty CNG fueling facility in Westbrook. The refueling station is already in development.
The facility will serve Casella Waste, Westbrook and surrounding areas. Compared to current diesel trucks, these CNG-powered vehicles will benefit the community at-large by reducing greenhouse gas emissions, particulate matter and noise.
Perhaps more significantly, the new facility could spark systematic change, as additional businesses express interest in converting their fleets.
The CNG facility will be located on County Road, Westbrook, ME and will accept all major bank and fleet cards. It will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
