CFI, an international truckload carrier based in Joplin, Mo., has announced the monthly driver award recipients for February 2006:

• Company Driver of the Month: Wayne Herrington, who started driving for CFI in 1994. He lives in Fort Smith, Ark.
• Company Team of the Month: Oscar Torres and Miguel Barriga, who live in El Paso, Texas. Both joined CFI in 2000.
• Contractor Driver of the Month: James Matthews began his career with CFI in 1992. He resides in Blanchard, Okla.
• Contractor Team of the Month: Victor and Roseanne Bartosch live in Pottsboro, Texas. They joined CFI in 2004.
As the February 2006 winners, each driver and team is automatically nominated for the 2006 year-end award in their respective category. All full-time over the road drivers who have been certified as a driver at CFI for one year are eligible for the CFI driver awards
CFI operates 2,300 tractors and more than 7,400 trailers and transports a variety of goods throughout the contiguous United States and Canada. CFI interlines with Mexican carriers at various border crossings to provide through-trailer service to Mexico. The driver fleet is made up of both company drivers and independent contractors.
