Aether Systems Inc., the Owings Mills, Md., provider of wireless and mobile data solutions, said Buske Lines Inc. will equip its fleet with MobileMax, Aether's multi-mode solution for the transportation industry
Aether Systems Inc., the Owings Mills, Md., provider of wireless and mobile data solutions, said Buske Lines Inc. will equip its fleet with MobileMax, Aether's multi-mode solution for the transportation industry.
Buske will initially install MobileMax in 65 of its trucks, with plans to roll out Aether's flagship solution to its fleet of more than 400 trucks over the next two to three years as the carrier upgrades its wireless technology across the fleet.
Based in Granite City, Ill., Buske is a family-owned company that has been in operation since 1923.
The company decided to go with MobileMax to gain the benefits of the multi-mode system that automatically switches between land-based and satellite communications without driver or dispatcher intervention to ensure complete coverage and more cost-efficient communications.
The Aether MobileMax system transmits dispatch and data messages and GPS position reports, and provides data on state-line crossings, vehicle fault codes and driver performance.
