LTL carrier Billings Transportation Group Inc., Lexington, N.C., has opened a new terminal in Johnson City, Tenn.
The 10-door, 5,000-square-foot facility is situated on a five-acre site at 3097 Watauga Road. Danny McBride who manages the Billings Greenville, S.C., terminal will also oversee operations at the new Johnson City facility.
“This will strengthen our Greenville-Asheville corridor, increasing the flexibility of movement for freight shipments in northwestern South Carolina, western North Carolina and northeastern Tennessee. We are pleased and excited to introduce our services to the Johnson City market,” said Wayne Bersch, Billings vice president of operations.
