Averitt Express, the Tennessee-based freight transportation and supply chain management provider, has received the 2003 Quality Carrier Award from Jostens Inc.,
a manufacturer of school yearbooks located in Winston-Salem, N.C.
The award, which Averitt earned for the seventh consecutive year, is given annually to the company's most outstanding carriers in recognition of their superior performance during the previous calendar year.
The award is based on feedback from Jostens' customers on carrier performance. Customers evaluated the carriers based on criteria such as fewest claims, on-time service and overall professionalism.
