Averitt Express has opened a new service center in Austin, Texas.
The new facility replaces a previous facility in Austin. Averitt has been operating in the city since September 1999.
Construction was recently completed on the new 38,000-square-foot facility, which includes a nine-door operations center and a 1,500-square-foot administrative office. The new service center is one of several within Averitt's system of more than 80 service centers to be built according to the company's new prototype design that features several technological amenities, including automated fueling and truckwash capabilities.
According to Averitt Service Center Director David Parrish, the location of the new service center will provide quick access to Interstate 35 and will allow Averitt to offer earlier daily freight delivery times for Austin-area shippers.
