The American Transportation Research Institute launched a new survey collecting data on the impact detention time has on industry safety and productivity. ATRI is seeking carrier input in order to evaluate the impact from the business side.
The carrier portion of the survey is the second phase of ATRI’s research and it has already collected more than 600 commercial driver responses in its first phase of study.
ATRI will also look at case studies and analyze its truck position database to model the impact of driver delay on travel times at certain distribution points around the country.
To participate in the survey, go to the ATRI homepage. The survey will be open through January 2015.
