The program will bring the TC10 to Kenworth T680 and T880 trucks and Peterbilt Model 567 and Model 579 trucks. The TC10 features 10 forward speeds and two reverse gears with a torque converter and twin counter shaft design.
The automatic transmission is made for tractor configurations to improve performance and fuel economy with uninterrupted power shifting in all ranges. The transmission will come with a five-year or 750,000 mile warranty.
“We are looking forward to offering the TC10 to our Peterbilt and Kenworth customers,” said Landon Sproull, Paccar assistant vice president. “Allison’s reputation for quality and technology is well known.”
