Paccar has partnered with Allison Transmission in an engineering program to release the fully automatic Allison TC10 transmission in Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks powered by either Paccar or Cummins engines.

The program will bring the TC10 to Kenworth T680 and T880 trucks and Peterbilt Model 567 and Model 579 trucks. The TC10 features 10 forward speeds and two reverse gears with a torque converter and twin counter shaft design.

The automatic transmission is made for tractor configurations to improve performance and fuel economy with uninterrupted power shifting in all ranges. The transmission will come with a five-year or 750,000 mile warranty.
