ALK Tolls Module Provides Exact Cost on Any Route
ALK Technologies, Inc., Princeton, N.J., announced that its new ALK|FleetSuite Tolls module is now available

ALK Technologies, Inc., Princeton, N.J., announced that its new ALK|FleetSuite Tolls module is now available.
According to ALK, the software was developed to meet fleet requests for toll calculation, collection and reconciliation capabilities.
"Our developers worked for over one year to develop the module, performing several hundred hours of development and testing. The module incorporates data from nearly 1,000 toll plazas in 31 states, 112 toll authorities and 232 roads, bridges and tunnels.
*This nationwide coverage of more than 14,000 toll paths is monitored and maintained on a real-time basis," said ALK sales and marketing VP Ed Siciliano.
The Tolls module includes such discount programs as Cruise Card, EXpressToll, EZ Tag, EZPass, FAST LANE, FasTrak, I-PASS, K-TAG, M-TAG, NH Tokens, PikePass, Ready Toll, Smart Tag, SunPass, TollTag and Transpass. Users can select the appropriate programs and other parameters, such as number of axles, that affect tolls.
According to ALK, the company plotted the exact location of all toll barriers by latitude and longitude, putting those locations in its ALK|FleetSuite database and entering the precise tolls between points. ALK will maintain exact toll data and will update customers on a regular basis.
"We expect the ALK Tolls database to become the industry standard used by all major carriers and shippers. With accurate and updated toll data available to them, we believe that all cost conscious companies will utilize this new resource. We expect Tolls to be incorporated routinely in carrier-shipper contractual arrangements," Siciliano said.
