AFS Purchases Trendset as Part of Bankruptcy Sale
The transportation cost management solutions provider, AFS, has announced the purchase of Trendset Information Systems, a freight audit, payment services provider. The deal, part of a bankruptcy sale, was finalized on June 14 and is the twelfth acquisition for AFS.

Trendset will be renamed and reorganized as a subsidiary of AFS. In a release it said it plans to add new management and operational stability to Trendset “by continuing to meet the needs of the global client base while enhancing the operational model based on AFS' proven industry track record. “
In 2012, Trendset managed over $10 Billion in freight spend, serving many global customers. With this acquisition, AFS, said it now becomes one of the largest freight payment companies in the U.S. serving the less-than-truckload, truckload, and ocean sectors
AFS plans to continue operations at the former Trendset's Greenville, S.C. office and retain the employees who work there.
