Winsted Group has released the commercial truck WorldNav Portable GPS system based on its Teletype's navigation product line in the Canadian market.
This touchscreen GPS offers truck routing GPS navigation solution for professional truck drivers and bus drivers.
The product ensures that routes will follow roads that are suitable for truck travel. The routing takes into account commercial truck restrictions such as bridge heights and clearances, load limits, one-way road designations, left hand and dangerous turn restrictions, and allowances. The restrictions are based on semi trailers, 13-foot, 6-inch heights, 80,000-pound weight, 48-foot and 53-foot trailers, and 102-inch and 96-inch width restrictions. The product is available in two screen sizes, 3.5 and 7 inches.
Features include truck restriction routing, pronouncing of specific street names and exits, U.S. and Canada map coverage, MP3 and video player, picture viewer, unlimited waypoints, rechargeable battery, SD card with preloaded maps, and extensive POI database.
