Volvo Trucks North America Offers Air Disc Brakes
Volvo Trucks North America is now offering Bendix heavy-duty air disc brakes as an option on Volvo VN and VT model trucks
Volvo Trucks North America is now offering Bendix heavy-duty air disc brakes as an option on Volvo VN and VT model trucks.
Disc brakes can improve braking capacity and performance in demanding condition. The Bendix ADB22X air disc brake delivers greatly reduced brake fade on long downhills, improved brake component life and reduced maintenance, while being less sensitive to adjustment than traditional S-cam drum brakes.
Volvo is offering the disc brakes on front and rear axles on Volvo VNs and VTs with front axle ratings from 12,000 to 13,200 pounds and 40,000-pound rear axle ratings. The disc brakes can also be ordered for front axle only.
