Trackwell ADS, the U.S. subsidiary of Iceland-based TrackWell, has launched Trackwell Trailer, a satellite-based, un-tethered trailer and asset tracking solution
.
The device, which can either interface to Trackwell ADS' Trackwell Fleet office Internet browser or be used as a stand-alone product, can be installed on any asset that needs to be tracked. At 6.5 inches in length, 3.24 inches in width and 1 inch in height, the wireless device requires no external antennas or wires to operate. It runs on AA batteries.
"Trackwell Trailer is a natural addition to our feature rich product line as it connects to our current office browser," said Tom Lemke, executive vice president, Trackwell ADS. "This device can track any asset globally and can be programmed for a variety of position sending intervals."
"We also offer a configuration for tracking temperature in any number of trailer compartments including out of range alarms as well as door opening monitoring," he said.
