Thermo King has rolled out a cellular, web-enabled temperature management system called TracKing, which was designed to provide real-time monitoring and tracking
. The new product complements the existing TracKing satellite system.

Using TracKing, a carrier can monitor its entire fleet's actual position and route history at regular intervals, or on-demand. The system provides information needed to schedule, control and manage a fleet's operations. The system also enhances security. Its alarm, notification, mapping and dealer locator features help ensure that temperature-sensitive products are hauled at the correct temperature.

Fleets can monitor all data through a secure web site, without the need for software.

According to Thermo King, the new cellular offerings work best for local and regional distribution customers. Applications for both the cellular and satellite systems include frozen and fresh produce, meat, packaged foods, dairy, pharmaceutical products, flowers, ice and sensitive equipment and machinery. Mapping of vehicle locations is available with both systems, and geo-fencing within the maps is available on the cellular system, along with the ability to monitor route history within a fleet at predetermined intervals or on-demand.
