Service All Vehicles with a Single Lift
Rotary Lift's new X Pad frame-contact adapter for its MOD30 in-ground lift allows the lift to be used with light vehicles

Many public works and transit fleets don't have the space or budget to install a variety of lifts to efficiently service the wide range of vehicles they maintain. Most of these fleets use heavy-duty in-ground lifts to pick up their large vehicles, and settle using floor jacks to raise light-duty vehicles.
Rotary's new X Pad frame-contact adapter temporarily replaces the standard axle-engaging adapter on the MOD30's rear post, so the lift can pick up vehicles with independent front or rear suspensions, such as cars and minivans.
The X Pad adapter uses the same arms as light-duty in-ground lifts to properly reach manufacturer recommended pick-up points on cars, light trucks and vans. Rated load capacity using the adapter is 9,000 pounds.
"Every municipal fleet, regardless of how 'heavy' it is, includes some cars," explains Roger Perlstein, heavy-duty sales manager. "With the X Pad, technicians can lift all the vehicles in the fleet, from the building inspector's car to dump trucks, transit buses to snowplows, using a single lift."
The X Pad can be ordered with a new MOD30 or it can be added to an existing MOD30. No permanent installation is required.
The Rotary Lift MOD30 reduces environmental concerns regarding in-ground lifts. It is entirely self-contained and uses half the hydraulic fluid required by traditional in-ground lifts. Because the MOD30 is modular, it can be configured to accommodate most heavy-duty vehicles, including trucks, fire engines, articulated buses and construction equipment. The lift's auto spotting system enables technicians to position the moveable front piston without crawling around on the floor. A single joystick gives technicians infinite speed control when raising and lowering the lift. Galvanized shutter plate trench covers automatically adjust with the movement of the front piston, to keep the pit covered at all times. Rated lift capacity of the MOD30 is 60,000 to 90,000 lbs.
