Peterson Manufacturing's tunnel lights
Missouri-based Peterson Manufacturing has added the new 274 Series accessory light to its LED line of tunnel lights for trucks and trailers
. The 274, which joins the 179 Series accessory light, is a 2-inch grommet-mounted light, built for accessory or off-road use.
Both accessory light models have an operating range of eight to 16 volts and come in amber and red LED versions. According to Peterson, the lights are ideal for viewing such items as stainless steel air cleaners, headache racks, bumpers, door panels and running boards.
"It's all in the revolutionary optics," said Mark Assenmacher, Peterson marketing director. "When the lights are on, they're like looking into lighted tunnels of infinite depth. When they're off, they take on a sleek, mirrored-chrome look."
The 179 model can be installed on four-inch centers, while the new 274 fits standard two-inch rubber grommets. The company built both to be non-polarized, allowing for connection of the hot wire to either lead.
