Peterbilt Releases New Medium-duty Truck
Peterbilt's new Model 337 medium-duty truck was designed for pickup and delivery, beverage and food service vocations

"The medium-duty market demanded simplicity, maneuverability, value and style and Peterbilt responded with the solution," said Bill Jackson, Peterbilt general manager and Paccar vice president. "The Model 337 was designed to meet the demands of virtually any business while lowering costs with the quality and durability the market has come to expect from Peterbilt."
With comfort and reliability in mind, Peterbilt made this model with an all-new driver display that is easy to read and ergonomic. The top of the dash displays key vehicle performance data.
The model is available with an option GPS system that provides navigation in urban environments. A new door pad design features power windows, mirrors and lock switches. The cab also comes with dual cup holders. The model is equipped with a new HVAC system for improved air flow.
"Medium-duty vehicles are typically operated in congested environments," said Landon Sproull, Peterbilt chief engineer. "It is important for sightlines, both in the ergonomic layout of the instrumentation or the exterior view of the vehicle's surroundings, to be clear and allow the driver to make good operational decisions."
The model boasts an increase in side window and forward visibility of 17 percent, Peterbilt says. Built with an all-aluminum cab, the model is lightweight, fuel efficient and resistant to corrosion, the company says.
Customers can choose between the company's Paccar PX-6 and Paccar PX-8 engines. The truck is also available in a hybrid electric configuration.
